Create Variations: alternate versions

Make slightly different versions of an existing footstep, impact, or UI click without searching for a new set of assets.

Select the sounds to vary

Open REAPER and Bridge, then select audio Items. This works on those existing sounds, not random library replacements. Use a project copy for the first test.

Run and check

  1. 01Choose Create Variations in the Chat Skill menu.
  2. 02Specify the count and amount: “Make six subtle variations of the selected impact. Keep the originals.”
  3. 03Audition each version in REAPER. Check that the original Items, duration, and fades are preserved.

Count and intensity

Count
1–32, default 3. Try a few versions before increasing the count.
Intensity
0–100, default 55. Higher means more variation; start low to keep the original character.
