Sounds: local libraries
Make the audio on your drives searchable, audition and compare it, then send the right asset to your DAW.
Tell the app where to find your sounds
- 01Create or select a database in the sidebar, add your asset folders, and scan them.
- 02Check the databases to search. Choose a folder or click a parent directory in a sound’s path to narrow the location.
- 03Search with words and select a result to audition. Rescan the relevant location after adding, moving, or deleting assets.
The lock, lightbulb, and search controls
- Text search
- Find filenames, descriptions, and other text. Use it when you know a name or keyword.
- Lock icon
- Keep the current terms while adding new ones. Lock metal, then search impact. Unlock to stop retaining those terms.
- Lightbulb / Smart Search
- Describe how something should sound. Your configured LLM interprets the request and helps search local assets. Chinese descriptions are supported.
- Find Similar
- Search with reference audio selected in the app or DAW.
Compare result sets in tabs
Use + to open a search tab. Each tab keeps its query and results, so you can switch between candidates without searching again. Use × to close a tab you no longer need. Locked terms also belong to each tab.
After finding a sound
- •List: sort results, choose columns, and right-click to transfer an asset or locate its file.
- •Waveform: select an excerpt, audition channels, or try Reverse and Mono.
- •Right panel: inspect Metadata, browse UCS categories, and view artwork.
